"Stranded" in Salt Lake City...

The Tesla Service Store will supply us with our new tire when they open tomorrow morning,  So today we took an Uber into town, went to the Apple Store, got Sarah a brand new iPhoneX (at no charge), had a delicious brunch and a bloody mary and thoroughly enjoyed our leisurely day in this gorgeous city.  The setting is unbelieveable, completely surrounding by huge snow capped mountains under bright blue skies and sunshine.  A lovely Sunday.  More tomorrow.

Monday

We began our day at the Tesla Service Center.  Awesome people, competent, professional, and committed.  They gave us a loaner, sent us on our way so we wouldn't waste an opportunity to explore their beautiful city and told us to be back late afternoon.  I suggested we take the loaner Tesla back 120 miles to the Bonneville Salt Flats and see if we could break our record, but Mick poo pooed the idea...so we're off to Big Cottonwood Canyon...

Up Big Cottonwood Canyon we go....

We traveled 14 miles straight up this amazing mountain.  We could bore you to death with all the pictures we took, but we will share a few to give you an idea of this breathtakingly beautiful drive.

Can you believe it?

Let's stop for lunch!

On our way back down the Cottonwood Canyon, just as we were beginning to feel hungry, look what we saw....

Couldn't resist snapping this shot of Mick, the loaner AND the wood carving....

Okay, Claudie, this one's for you....

A grilled cheese sandwich like no other.  Three different cheeses, tomatoes, red onion, bacon, ham, a delicious sauce.....and a waitress from Brazil who was delightful.  #Claudiaaskedformorefoodpics
